Architecture and Interior Design Studio in Palermo

Provenzano Associati is an architecture and urban design practice. Founded in 1971, the studio has developed significant experience in residential, commercial and hotel projects, as well as in the design of public spaces and buildings. It has also gained experience in preparing designs for major urban infrastructure, including airports and ports. Based in Palermo, the studio works throughout Italy and internationally, drawing on highly qualified collaborators and an extensive network of professionals and companies to ensure high standards of quality.

Architectural design and interior design

The studio works on a craft scale. Each project is conceived as a one-off, designed to meet the client’s wishes and celebrate Palermo’s rich artisan tradition. We love working with stonemasons, carpenters, blacksmiths and builders, restoring the hands-on approach that is so central to the architect’s profession.

Construction and Site Supervision

We make a point of pairing the design phase with construction supervision, which allows us to verify the design proposals as the project progresses on site, from technical approvals through to final inspection.

Palermo Trapezoidal Pier

The project is fundamentally an intervention aimed at reactivating the dynamics that can bring functions, uses and public life back to this important stretch of Palermo’s urban waterfront.

Palermo’s Molo Trapezoidale, part of the city’s historic port, stands as one of the clearest symbols of the long “relationship crisis” between port and city that has persisted from the end of the Second World War to the present day.

The project seeks to heal this divide by reimagining the entire pier as a large public space.
